Talashimaii is a visual work that combines dance with the quotidian, taking simplicity as its starting point. Dance driven from the subconscious, authentic movement that emerges from the essential and indispensable; dancing as a human and social need. The daily routine of quotidian actions within a lifestyle of simplicity regarding material necessities, where emotions become protagonists and take ownership of every scene. Talashimaii brings in low-income individuals and families of Valledupar, Colombia, common people without great material pretensions who narrate their own stories through movement and through quotidian actions from daily routine, where emotions will serve as the vehicle to take spectators into an inner world to be reunited with themselves.
