Carla Forte was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lives and works in Miami, Florida. Forte, first trained as a contemporary dancer, received a bachelor degree, earning the highest GPA at the Dance University Institute in Caracas - Venezuela (2000-2004). Forte soon established herself as an interdisciplinary artist incorporating dance, film and performance through different media, focusing on the emotions as a starting point. She is the co-founder and film director of the Bistoury Physical Theatre and Film (2007 - Present) in Miami, Florida. Based in Miami since 2019, he has collaborated with local artists and companies through theatre, site-specific work, dance and film as an actor, director, educator, creative producer and videographer.
Currently, he is one of the lead teachers of the MiND Theatre Workshop program by Miami Beach-based company Miami New Drama, an educational experience for teenagers in different communities of the 305. In 2020, his project LITTLE SPACES was one of the winning ideas of the Knight New Work 2020 program created by Knight Foundation. Heather Maloney is a mother, choreographer, dancer, teacher, and artistic director of Inkub8. Known for her highly expressive and kinesthetic style, Maloney draws on improvisational structures to create state based choreographic places. Her work has been presented at Bates Dance Festival, Florida Dance Festival, New World School of the Arts and in Fundanza Cumuna Venezula Performatica, Puebla Mexico, Fusebox, Austin TX. She has taught workshops at New World School of the Arts, Bates College as well as in Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela.

In 2022, Taran was selected for the Art Studio Ginestrelle, Residency Program, Asissi, Italy. Taran was awarded for the six time the Miami Dade Choreographer’s Fellowship from the Miami Dade Department of Cultural Affairs. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious Knight Arts Challenge Grant. Also in 2017, he was awarded the New Music USA Project Grant Award, New York, and the NALAC Transnational Cultural Remittance Travel Award, San Antonio, TX. In 1998 and 1994 Taran was awarded the prestigious Author Award, Category Independent Choreographer, Young Author by the International Choreographic Encounters of Seine, Saint Denis, granted by MC Bobigny, Maison de la Culture Seine, Saint, Denis, International Center of Artistic Creation and Diffusion, Ministry of Culture, Music and Dance Division Seine, Saint Denis, France. In 1996 Taran was awarded with the Co-production for his work “18 minutos por 2 ½ tiempos’ bolo” award granted by the Internationales Sommer Theater Festival Hamburg; Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Frankfurt; Haus der Kulturem der Welt, Berlin; Tanz and Theater International, Hannover.
