305 & HAVANA INTERNATIONAL IMPROV FEST (5th Edition)
Miami, FL - 305 HAV INTERNATIONAL IMPROV FEST ’21 is a festival that promotes the art of improvisation in performance and film. This year 305 & Havana International Improv Fest presents screenings and performances that deepen into the art of improvisation, bringing together performing artists, filmmakers and audiences across the city. This year partnering venues includes the Miami-Dade County Auditorium (Miami, Florida) and O Cinema South Beach (Miami Beach). In the life of a stage or creative space, improvisation is considered an instrument for exploration and a tool for expanding creative possibilities. Open-ended investigation into the art of improvisation in different artistic expressions has become a tool that has no limits in the search for an authentic language through movement or ideas. Every year, the festival commissions a Miami-based artist to present a new improvisation work. This year, the choreographers and dancers Heather Maloney and Liony Garcia have been commissioned with their pieces “HERE” and “UP IN THE CLOUDS”
